Is this more of an informative tour or a rubbing tour?
It's a bit of both, but more of a "rubbing" tour. Our comprehensive tours are designed for you to experience our amazing city in a totally different manner in a short amount of time AND provide you with a beautifully framed piece of art to bring home and hang in your favorite room or office. It's an exciting, unique, and up close and personal experience in New York City.
How can I purchase tickets?
Advance purchase required. Tours often sell out!

What happens in inclement weather?
Our tours run in all types of weather. If it’s raining, snowing and not great weather for rubbing outside, the tour route is customized and moves underground to the subways and other indoor locations where there are an abundance of rubbings available. This is also a fantastic way to learn about the history of the subways in NYC.
Can children participate in this tour?
There are no restrictions as to who can participate, and no special artistic skills are necessary. This is great for kids and adults alike, but the minimum age recommended is about 10 years old (with help to reach some of the rubbings which might be a bit high!). Some rubbings are on walls, some are on the ground. If you plan to bring small children or infants that are too young to participate you do not need to purchase a ticket for them. However, please let us know upon purchasing your tickets if you are bringing any young children.
Where do we meet the tour?
We meet next to the clock in the middle of Grand Central Terminal in the main concourse, at the bottom of the escalator.
Does the tour start and end at the same place?
No, the tour starts at Grand Central Terminal but ends in the Union Square (14th Street) area. Your guide will be more than happy to help direct you back to the starting location or other destination in the city.
How will we get around the city?
Put on your most comfortable walking shoes and get ready to explore the city! For distances too far to walk in a short time frame (for instance from Times Square (42nd Street) to Herald Square (34th Street), and from there down to Union Square (14th Street), we will take the subway. NYC subways are safe, convenient and often times very interesting --and include many great "rubbing" possibilities! The cost of a SingleRide ticket is $2.50. You will need two fares and these can be purchased before you start the tour from the Metrocard vending machines in Grand Central Station or any subway station. Your guide will help you if needed.
How will I receive my Impressions?
Your framed Impressions piece will be wrapped in plastic "bubble wrap," making it safe for traveling, and will be delivered to your hotel. Framed pieces measure 10 x 20 inches and easily fit into the overhead bin on many planes. It can be delivered within 24 hours after completion of the tour or later depending on the length of your stay. If other arrangements are needed, please speak to the tour guide to work something out. If you need to have it shipped, you will pay shipping charges. The cost will vary depending on destination.
