As we approach Holy week, Biblical references abound as the war of words continues against mayoral hopeful Christine Quinn. Recently called ‘She Devil’  she has now earned the name ‘Judus.” All this name calling because the democratic hopeful wants to start a watchdog to oversee NYPD  Her idea isn’t flying well. In fact it seems as popular as Bloomberg’s Soda ban concept. Today’s New York Post called Quinn Judas,and long time Quinn supporter Mayor Bloomberg says he sees absolutely no point in policing the police. “I don’t think any rational person would say we need two competing police commissioners.”.

During a public meeting to discuss the issue, Bloomberg warned the bill will put peoples lives at risk. Christine Quinn however is standing by her proposed watchdog body. “We have a situation right now in this city, whether we like it or not, where some of the practices of the police department have caused rifts.” She said.

Certainly for most New Yorker’s the NYPD put their lives on the line everyday, and we thank them. The idea of having a big brother to watch over the police doesn’t look like flying anytime soon. What about drones Christine?
