In 1998 the Terrence McNally play Corpus Christi was scheduled to premiere at the Manhattan Theater Club. The play is about a group of gay men whose lives mirror those of Jesus Christ and his apostles. The gay community is a collective rainbow huff over the movie “Ender’s Game” because the author of the novel on which the movie is based, Orson Scott Card, holds conservative views on gay marriage and homosexuality.
