A: Well, I don’t know if it’s the absolute BEST, but I’ve tried many many places and I’m finally happy with Primp and Tease in Long Island City…Nikki in particular. I have very short hair which is tricky for some, but she knows what she’s doing. Each time I get color, she looks at what’s going on with my hair and decides what needs work. Sometimes it’s highlights, sometimes just a little toner–she really takes her time, and I always leave happy. And it’s very reasonably priced, so that’s good too! I tried Crops for Girls in the East Village and was happy with the way my hair was cut there, but the guy running the place was a little too much of an oddball for me. Hello Beautiful in Williamsburg also worked for a while, but then I decided to get my hair colored there and it was sort of a disaster…
