So what’s new in your life since we interviewed you in 2004?
Well I married in May 2004 and from that time my life has been fulfilled. As far as work, I have received several printing awards and have continued to lecture at trade shows around the country. New York’s longest running screen printer (since December 10, 1974).
For the past six years I have done business with the Stew Leonard’s chain of stores. They might be the best run chain of stores in the country. I both have successful bed sheet displays in all six stores and also print upwards of 25.000 tees, hats, etc. StewLeonards.com for the worker’s uniforms.
Congratulations that’s quite a run.
These days I spend less time actually selling tee shirts and more time mentoring youth. My strength is helping young athletes obtain athletic scholarships in many different sports. Of the several youth I have helped, there are two in particular who I am especially proud of. One is a star kicker who is actually in college now and the other youngster was an All American basketball player who is now playing pro ball in Indonesia. I also spend much of my time helping inner city youth as well as I donating my time to the Harlem Children’s Zone in Manhattan.
I remember horse racing as another passion?
Yes, in 2004 I told you about my passion for horse racing. Although I still have a few thorobreds, I have cut back dramatically. It’s gotten far too expensive a hobby to continue.
