As we file our taxes tomorrow North Korea prepares to celebrate the 101st birthday of Kim Jong Un’s grandfather. The question on everyone’s mind is whether young Kim Jong Un will have a plain old birthday cake or release a nuclear missile? It is a sad and shocking reality but no one knows what this mad man is capable of. So as we sit perplexed trying to fathom out what he might do one reporter went inside North Korea. What he found there is a chilling reality. A regime akin to Nazi Germany, and one with a man as evil as Hitler at the helm. For obvious reasons journalist John Sweeney entered the secretive state undercover. Journalists are barred from entering North Korea, and so the fearless reporter went in along with a group of tourists. While inside he found a regime which he describes as ‘more frightening than Saddam’s Iraq.’ and ‘A place where there are no ads, no planes, no internet, no mobiles, no 21st Century.’ It is a rare dispatch from deep within the lunatic rogue state which he describes as a place ‘enslaved by Zombie and Sons.’ What is particularly chilling is the similarities between North Korea and Nazi Germany. As former British ambassador to the country John Everard describes the situation: “There are sad parallels between North Korea and Nazi Germany and although some people describe North Korea as a Stalinist state, it’s actually much more accurate to describe it as neo-Nazi. It is deeply racially biased. Kim Jong Il [Kim The Second] was an unabashed admirer of Hitler and copied the Nuremberg marches that are staged in Pyongyang to this day.” According to Sweeney’s report which is riveting. Mark Fitzpatrick, an American expert on North Korea, says this is the only nation in the world ruled by a dead man. Generalissimo Kim Il Sung is still the leader of the country – a kind of god. Sweeney’s report describes the mood in North Korea in terrifying detail. He says: “Down, down inside the Pyongyang Metro stands a statue of the Eternal Ruler of North Korea, Generalissimo Kim Il Sung – dead these past 19 years but still calling the shots. Brainwashing cast in bronze. The regime’s florid propaganda blares from loudspeakers: ‘The pure white snows of our sacred mountains’ artillery will wipe the filthy enemy from existence.’ Or something like that. The newspaper racks on the platforms detail the latest from the ‘American imperialist aggressors’ and warn of thermo-nuclear war.” What tax day will bring remains to be seen but whether it is today or tomorrow Kim Jong Un needs to be stopped.
