AskaNewYorker: So what’s your name?

Danny: Danny.

AskaNewYorker: What do you do?

Danny: I’m a grad student in architecture.

AskaNewYorker: What did you think of the movie “My Architect, the Biography of Louis Kahn”? (An obvious question to ask an aspiring architect)

Danny: I’m not really a fan of Louis Kahn, but to hear his son talk about his dad’s work was fascinating. So that was a very good movie for an architect to watch. Another good architectural movie is “Life as a House”, which was heart breaking to watch.

AskaNewYorker: Where are you off to now?

Danny: I’m heading off to school at Parsons.

AskaNewYorker: What did you do last night?

Danny: Stayed home did laundry. Not chic, but it works for Sunday night.

AskaNewYorker: How would you describe what you’re wearing?

Danny: This is a vintage kind of vest, long vest, floor length, and it’s a gift from a family friend of mine. I figured it was the right weather for that because I don’t need anything with sleeves. I’m also wearing a Rolling Stone T shirt with a mask on the side.

AskaNewYorker: What kind of fur?

Danny: I think it’s rabbit. I’m not entirely sure

AskaNewYorker: What type of architecture are you studying?

Danny: Commercial and retail.

AskaNewYorker: Where are you from?

Danny: From Los Angeles, originally.

AskaNewYorker: What do you love about NewYork?

Danny: Anything. The city life, not having a car. I can walk anywhere. I can walk in my clothes and in my shoes instead of just staying in the car all the time.

AskaNewYorker: What do you dislike about L.A?

Danny: No seasonal change… how about that, just for starters.

AskaNewYorker: Where did you get your hair done?

Danny: At this salon on Lafayette called Autonomy salon. I let the hair guy’s creative juice flow and just tell them to experiment anything on me they want.

AskaNewYorker: So what’s your favorite building in the city?

Danny: I know it sounds really trite but it’s the Prada store in Soho.

AskaNewYorker: Sorry it got burned down.

Danny: I know, it’s just tragic.
