Only good part to getting older is how I pop up in the early morning like a Reverse Vampire. Makes it easy to get outside when the light’s right.

Central Park – The Lake

This past Saturday, I rode my bicycle to Central Park and arrived at Bow Bridge on The Lake at 6:45.

The colors in the park slowly came to life as the light crept up, peeked out. then spread over the eastern sky.

Here on this page are photos from my Central Park visit. The relationship between my photography and my writing is so close, sometimes I can’t see the line between them.  I hear a story in every photo, and see a picture on every page of my writing.

To my imagination, New York City is a box of 64 Crayola Crayons with the built in sharpener, lots of #2 pencils to help me “Think & Suggest” with a fresh pile of blank construction paper sitting next to me telling me, Get to work!”

Here’s a link to more photos of Central Park at my blog, “Yorkville: Stoops to Nuts,”and a link to a public Facebook album from last Saturday.

I’m a New Yorker, and if you asked me, “What’s a great thing to do tonight?”

I’d say, “Come down to Cornelia Street Cafe @ 6pm to hear some of the best storytellers and musicians in NYC showing off their art work.”

“City Stories: Stoops to Nuts” tonight @ 6pm Cornelia Street Cafe.
