They say it’s a dog’s life but apparently not if your name is Oscar and you happen to live on East 68th Street. This is a story I have to wag about because it just isn’t fair. My name is Snickers and I am the official Canine Correspondent at AskaNewyorker.com Oscar’s Co-op board wants to evict him because they claim he has bitten a few tenants. As with any case there has to be evidence, yet there are no police reports and no emergency room visits, so where’s the crime?
I say throw Oscar a bone and leave him and his owner alone. Oscar isn’t even 5 years old, his owner Edgar is 83 and has HIV, so what’s the point of making his life anymore difficult? Like me, Oscar was an orphan and Edgar was kind enough to give him a home. Oscar is a sweet and loving dog. So I ask you all to help give this tale a happy ending and urge the Co-op board to pick on 2 legged people and not my friend who has 4 paws and cannot speak for himself. This building is barking up the wrong tree because Oscar has to stay!
